Mothers Day Fun

Family, Music

I had a really good weekend. I went back to FW to visit my family, and mostly my mom, for Mother's Day. Randy, Jamie, Kylie, Carrie and I all went out to Niki's Pizza with my mom and Paul. It was very enjoyable. Good food and everyone was in a good mood. After that, I went back to my parents' house and hung out by the pool for a few hours. I think I got a light sun burn, but I do every year on the first time I'm out in the sun. It just means I'm good to go from here on out!

In the evening, my mom, Paul and I went bike riding up the NRH2O trail. We were biking for just short of an hour and a half, so we went a good distance, but we rode at a leisurely pace. Not a workout for sure, but it was a lot of fun. Then the 3 of us went and go sushi at Cowtown Sushi. Yep. Cowtown Sushi. It was great. The California Rolls and the Sushi Salmon were really, really good. Then we drove around trying to get free Wi-Fi (the internet was out...stupid Charter), and ended up parking in front of someone's house so we could check emails from a laptop. Very classy. But hey, whatever works, right? If they don't secure their network, it's not my fault!

Anyway, it was a great day. I even got to watch Troy using their free On Demand HBO. That was a great movie! One downside about the weekend, though. My dad told me about EdgeFest and I got really excited about it. He's going and told me who all is playing there. I really wanted to go (still do), but when I checked out ticket prices...it's just not gonna happen. It'll be over $50 after the surcharge and parking pass (and that's for the bleacher seats!). I just can't spend that kind of money on a concert right now. But hey, if anyone wants to buy me a belated b-day present... ;-)
