RENT is amazing

Music, Theatre, Admin

My love for theatre is something that is hard to explain. It's similar to being a runner. I can't explain why, that's just how it is. Being in theatre for 4 years gave me an appreciation for certain things, including character development. Good character development can make a play or movie for me. (Which, added to the lack of plot and many, many other things, goes into why I don't care for that Napoleon movie...) It's something that, pertaining to RENT, I could write a book about. It's just amazing to see the characters grow throughout the play (and in this case, movie).

But why is music a category for this post? This is why: Will I? I liked this song from the Broadway soundtrack, but it didn't hold any special meaning to me until after seeing the movie. For those of you that have seen it, it's a crucial point in the development of the character Roger, where he decides to join his friends for a Life Support meeting. Maybe I'm addicted, but this is cool. You can hear Mark join in the song during the second round that is sung. A few times through, Roger walks up and starts singing. He is the 4th round, and you have to listen very carefully to hear him.

Like I said, maybe this just shows how addicted I am, as well as how much of a dork I am, but I think it is cool. I can't explain it, it just is. :-P

As far as the Admin side of this post, I was just gonna mention that I don't think I'm gonna do tags like I had thought. Instead, I want to make use of these categories. There's an example of it here. It's similar to tags, but not implemented quite the same. I won't bore you with the details, but it should be cool once I'm done with it. :-)
