Bday, Family, ginni

Here is another blog.

I just realized that my phone number is 817-BAD-MUTT. That's awesome.

Last weekend was so much fun. ginni and I went and saw Spiderman 3 on Friday. If you liked the first 2, you'll love the third one. We also got to talk for a bit before the evening ended. It was very cool.

On Saturday, I spent most of the day with my Dad and Laura, mostly just hanging out. We went to Richland Hills CC Saturday night. I hadn't been in that building in years, so it was kinda weird going back after so long. It was good, though. They actually had a worship band, which isn't exactly what I would expect from a Church of Christ.

Then I took ginni to the Olive Garden for dinner. Great food, even better company. I'm able to read her facial expressions quite well, which is impressive considering the whole long distance relationship thing. Afterwards we went back to her house and hung out for awhile. I got in some physical workout competitions with her brother, Chris. I gotta say, I underestimated his abilities. He beat me in crunches from the monkey bars, chin-ups, and wall-sits. I was victorious in the rope climb (w/out using feet), but apparently I'm at an advantage because of my height, despite the fact that I sat down on the ground before starting to climb. It was much fun and I am much sore. Totally worth it, though.

Yesterday I worked on the barricade staff for my aunt. The MS150 bike ride finished in downtown Fort Worth, so I sat at the 2nd and Commerce intersection making sure no cars tried to get around the barricade (which amazingly happened quite often). It was a long day: I arrived at 6:45am and left at 8:15pm. Easy money though. Plus, I got more than 1/3 of the way through The Eye Of The World (a book Cat let me borrow).

Overall, I'd say I had a good birthday. Nothing too special, but no complaints, either. :-)

Now I want to see if I can make anything cool out of my phone number.

Chris totally cheated on the wall sit. You stopped at some point on the chin-ups when you could have done more. And your victory on the rope climb was completely deserved. I'm sorry you're sore.

Cars trying to get around the barricade > cars trying to break down the barricade. When we were trying to leave the hospital, Daddy muttered something about needing to build up momentum so we could get through that arm thing without hurting the van.

Thank you again for driving all that way just to be with me, even though it turned out okay. You are amazing, and you mean the world to me.

I love you.
