Until It's Gone
Austin Stone, Poetry, Web Design, Work
They say "You never know
What you've got until it's gone"
Well I've known all the while
But all is said and done
I always loved the challenge
Pushing myself to the edge
It was therapy on its own
It incomparably cleared my head
I have myself a passion
Without it there is nothing
I don't know what I'll do
Without my passion: running.

Despite the theme of the above written work, I had a great day today. Church was incredible. I was reminded of why I consider Austin Stone my home church. I'm going to try to get involved with the Web Team and to start going to Community Groups. I also signed up for the church membership class in June. I'm excited about it.
In other news, I'm taking guitar lessons! One of the booking agents at Book A Band is giving me lessons in return for me teaching him to build a website. His primary income actually comes from giving guitar lessons, so I'm learning it from a pro. Awesome stuff.
Also, I'm working on a website for CTS Accounting, my Aunt Christie's (relatively) new company. I truly enjoy web design/development. How do I know this? I work all day designing the new Book A Band site, then I come home and work on either the CTS site or AlanBeam.net!
I really need to find a new hobby...

re church: that is quite awesome. yay for participation.
re web design and hobbies: what's wrong with web design as a hobby? there are definitely worse obsessions one could have.
